Kettlebell swing tutorial

Kettlebell swings are a GREAT exercise to improve leg strength, especially the posterior chain (hamstrings and glutes) and they really get the heart racing too! They can be incorporated into circuits, a total kettlebell routine or even stand alone as TABATA, however correct form is crucial and the technique is so often performed incorrectly. The swing can be tricky to perfect, and the 'hip drive' takes a bit of practice, however this instructional video by Andrew Read is a great place to start
The weight you start with depends on your strength and fitness but I generally suggest that you start with an 8 kg (women) or 12 kg (men) until you have perfected the technique when you can quickly progress to a heavier kettlebell.
